License Agreement

OVERVIEW

All downloadable products and free samples on SOTA Sounds are covered by the following license agreement. By purchasing sounds from SOTA Sounds you agree to the terms of the license in question.

The following license agreement applies to all products given away (free) or sold either through digital download, distributor, or authorised retailer carrying SOTA Sounds products.

LICENSE
​
1. All SOTA Sounds “Content” is outlined as follows:

MIDI Loops
-
Presets
-
Templates
-
Software

Tutorials

Written Production Guides
2. All Contents are licensed, not sold to you, the individual end user by SOTA Sounds. Ownership remains with SOTA Sounds.

3. This non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted only to the individual end user who has purchased a registered and lawfully made release of the product from a dealer or a distributor authorised as a partner with SOTA Sounds. This non-exclusive license is granted for a single-user only on a global basis for the full copyright protection period.
​
4. All Sample Pack content are licensed only for use in combination with other sounds in music productions (which include soundtracks of such as films, video productions, radio/TV programs or commercials, computer games and multimedia presentations, library music), public performances, and other reasonable musical purposes within musical compositions.
​
5. The Licensee may modify the Sounds and may use the Sounds for commercial purposes as part of a musical composition with other sounds.
​
6. The Licensee MAY NOT use the Sounds in isolation as sound effects or as loops (i.e. a sequence of musical events) or any competitive products that are sold or relicensed to multiple third parties. You cannot use the sounds in isolation (i.e. when not within musical compositions) as part of a commercially released project – for instance you cannot use the sounds to make another sample pack, or for sound effects on a website or multimedia production – unless as part of a composition with other sounds.

7. This license expressly forbids resale, copy, duplication, rental, loan, gift or transfer of these samples in any format or via any medium. Copying, duplication, lending or re-selling of this product or its contents in whole or part are strictly prohibited. Unauthorised duplication of this download is a violation of applicable laws.

8. The license is non-transferable; you cannot electronically transfer the sound samples or place them in a time-sharing or service bureau operation or a computer/sampler network.
​
9. Neither the producer, nor SOTA Sounds can be held responsible for any direct or indirect consequential loss arising from the use of this product in whatever form.
​
10. All rights of the producer and the owner of the work are reserved. Any unlicensed usage will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible by law.
​
PLEASE NOTE: This is a general licence which covers all SOTA Sounds products, it may not apply to products from other labels that we represent at SOTASounds.com – if in doubt please email us or contact us directly.
