We are back with Vol.4 of our artist series, presenting our most ambitious artist series resource with the Sounds Like Sweely sample pack.
 
This sample pack is part of the Sounds Like Artist Series, a series that researches your favourite artists and provides the resources and tools for you to make music like those artists.
 
For Vol.4 we've gone for easily one of the most ecelectic producers of our generation, the groove master himself - Sweely.
 
Where do you even begin with someone with the depth & quality of catalogue that french house producer Sweely has. One of the things that sets him apart is just how extensive his collection of tracks is (scroll through his Soundcloud and there must be at least 200 tracks there) that he just just casually bashes out like it's nobodies business.
 
Sweely hasn't just mastered the ability to produce music on a large & consistent scale, but the wide range of musical influences he takes from literally everywhere, make it hard to pin him down to a specific genre (at least within the house music domain). Take a journey through his record collection and you hear influences from funk, jazz, classical, electro, breakbeat, italo, disco, minimal, and so much more.
 
While the influences are certainly varied, there are specific elements that you can attribute to his sound. Groovy drums, bumping funky basslines, synthy textures, earcandy sfx, and a creative use of sampling with rather niche sounds, all play a big part in the sound we've all come to recognise from Sweely as a producer. This sample pack looks to capture that diverse sound from throughout his career, containing almost every sample you might need to make music in a similar style.
