What is it?

This drum bus audio rack is a recreation of a rack inspired by producer Stevn Aint Leavn during a tutorial which can be found here. In this video, the talented German producer takes us through how he typically processes his drum bus group in Ableton with a relatively simple chain that helps to enhance his drums, glue them together, and give them space in the mix. Consisting of four effects: Glue Compressor, Reverb (Drums Room preset), Saturation (Bit Warmer preset), and Xfers free OTT Multiband Compressor, this drum bus rack is simple yet effective tool to add that well needed character to your drums.

How to install and use this rack?

To install, firstly download Xfer Records OTT (see other info section below for details). Once this is done navigate to your user library and locate where your Audio Effects racks are stored. Then drop this .adg file in that folder and open it in your next session.

Its use is fairly simple but here is our suggestion. Add this audio rack onto your drum group (typically one that consists of all your drums except the kick). Note this rack is used for group processing so make sure that any individual processing and level setting are completed before adding this rack. Once loaded, simply dial in the settings of the glue compressor, reverb, saturation, and OTT to taste.  See linked tutorial above for a demo of this rack. Any questions let us know.

Other information...

The rack uses mostly Ableton's native  effects (Glue Compressor, Reverb, Saturation) and one external plugin (Xfer Records - OTT which can be downloaded for free.  This rack should open in most versions of Ableton.
