Nobody, unless they also purchased the same sample product brand new. Only the ORIGINAL PURCHASER of the product has the right to use the sounds commercially. This means that you CANNOT SELL or give the sounds to anyone else. If you do, and they use the sounds within a commercial release, they will have to pay royalties to SOTA Sounds for using the sounds. ​ All of this information is covered in depth in our License Agreement.

In general, you may use the sounds in combination with other sounds within your musical compositions. Simply load the sounds into your DAW of preference and start making music with them. You may release any compositions commercially without payment of any further fees or royalties for such usage.

The term royalty-free refers to the license for all of our products, which allows you to use all loops, samples, synth patches and sampler instruments etc. in your productions, without having to pay any share of your earnings to SOTA Sounds.

Download and Install WinZip from http://www.winzip.com. There are also other free and commercial (paid-for) apps for unzipping your content. Please note that Mac OSX and Windows 8 natively support unzipping files, so there is no need to install any new applications. Copy the Zip file to the location on your hard drive you wish the Sample pack to be. On PC right click and use the Winzip Extract to here tab. On Mac Just Double Click the Zip file.

This often happens after unzipping when it wrongly converts the file to a .txt file. We have a few suggestions to fix this. Firstly, make sure you are unzipping the file correctly using similar software or processes recommended above. Most software should work, but these sometimes alter the file into the wrong format, so try an alternative and see if the problem remains. Next, make sure the file ends in .adg rather than .txt - you might need to change this manually by renaming the file. Finally, place the file in the correct place in your user library as stated under the installation instructions of each resource - you might need to leave Ableton open temporarily so it can reindex your library. Providing you do all this and have all the required software for each resource, everything should hopefully work as intended.

You don’t have to download every format. Where different format options are available each format is supplied in a different zip file. Just download the zips you need.

Our sounds are designed to be as versatile as possible to allow them to be used as quickly and creatively as possible.
